County Fermanagh

Monday Cave is a well decorated and very pretty cave in County Fermanagh. It features a good showcase of classic speleothems including flowstone, gour pools, moonmilk and stalactites. To reach the decorated chambers, some very muddy passages need be negotiated and care must be taken to ensure the delicate ornamentation is not contaminated.

‘Monday Cave’ is not the cave’s actual name. I have called it this to protect its identity as the cave has suffered from vandalism from members of the public. The cave is very accessible, and many areas of moonmilk decorated passageway have been spray-painted.
